It seems summer has made an appearance!

Summer is the best time of year.  The days are longer and the sun along with the bird song is a nearly constant companion. As I write the sun is setting over the gardens at Glangrwyney Court and the sweet smell of Honeysuckle combined with the buzzing of bees fills the evening air.  Although a little late in developing this year due to the inclement weather the walled garden has flourished in time for our Open Garden on Thursday 18th July, supporting The National Gardens Scheme.  A chance for those horticulturalists amongst you to be inspired, by viewing a garden not normally accessible to the public. For those brides to be who have chosen Glangrwyney Court as their wedding venue, a treasure chest of colour and aroma await your arrival!

Welcome to our new blog

Recently guests have suggested that we should start blogging and so here goes - although please forgive us if what news we have is boring!

We are pleased that finally spring is coming and the drive is bursting with colour as the daffodils delight us and bring hope as usual. The garden in general is coming to life and Jenny our gardner will be back next week - so hooray - we shall be so pleased to see her after her Winter break. She's always happy to speak to our guests about the garden and planting which she so loves.

We are hoping that our Spring and Summer season will get busy now - our first wedding of the year is in April and that will be followed during the Summer months by a further three big celebrations - which always bring with them much excitement for all of us as well as for the wedding parties.

We will keep blogging brief to begin with - until we discover what you would like to hear about.  Any comments will be gratefully received.  With best wishes from us all.
